Bestwick Wins Cincinnati
by: Alex | Monday, October 6, 2008
Jamie Bestwick killed it yesterday at the Cincinnati stop of the Action Sports World Tour. I wasn't there but am told that "... an absolutely huge run complete with the biggest alley-oop tailwhip this side of 2007 put him at the top of the podium once again." I, of course, have no doubt.

Ruben In Malaga
by: Alex | Thursday, October 2, 2008
Ruben Alcantara's back in Malaga!
I just got to Malaga a little while ago... after the whole summer and it's been really good. One of the spots that we have is this little tranny inside an abandoned house. It was really fun to ride but we used to hit the roof... but now the wood roof is gone and you can go a few feet higher and it's so much fun.

Then we had a lot of rain and we got to fix the trails for the fall and winter. With some modifications this year, it's better than it's ever been. Here are some picks of Javi, Perico and me riding the first session ... so fun! Also, Perico and me are leaving tomorrow to Russia for a comp and a tour there. I hope we are lucky with the weather...
I'll send you some more pics from there!

Out Of Commission
by: Alex | Thursday, October 2, 2008
etnies UK rider Anthony Watkins is out of commission... Thanks to a broken fibia, ankle and some sort of ligament injury, he'll be missing out on the Orlando stop of the Dew Tour. Kind of a bummer...
Get better, Anthony!

etnies BOK!
by: Alex | Monday, September 22, 2008
Saturday was the 10th anniversary of the Burnside BMX BOK (Burnside Open Championships), the BOK-series is guaranteed a fun day.
etnies Burnside BMX Bok, Deventer NL, 20-09-08 from Bakkejan on Vimeo.
The contest and the practice sessions were a lot of fun. Everybody was having a great time riding with each other and some riders really stood out... like Ronaldo from Hengelo, who isn’t a familiar face for most riders but I’ve seen him ride before. He threw in some big suicide no handers over the volcano and qualified with a couple of flair attempts. In his semi final run he went for a big wall tap to barspin in but didn’t pull it.

Local hero Franky Elshof went loose caboose. He pretty much sleeps at this park. He did some crazy ass tricks, like superman seat grab air, 3Whip to fakie and truck driver over the spine. But it wasn’t enough to finish in the top 3.
Style king Virgil was dialed as a madman. With nice looking 540s, turndowns to fakie and 360 inverts he came out 3rd.

There he was again... Channon ‘el toro’. He is on fire lately, winning every event he enters. He kept his head calm and did what he had to do to win with all kinds of 360 combos... 360 back paddle and 3whips and, to top it off, spine flip and a huge flair. He won his first BOK.
Results:
1 Channon Balorian
2 Mark Vos (etnies)
3 Virgil
4 Franky Elshof
5 Barry Köhne (etnies)
6 Roy van Kempen
7 Tim Frijters (etnies)
